Nomad: Elisabeth Louy in a stroke

Antonio Martinez Beneyto, jounalist

Elisabeth Louy’s stroke emerges from the white paper and, from something simple, reaches the totality of what she wishes to tell us. A gestural stoke which captures an instant of life, of a glance, of a breath and which allows us to discover the sensorial and experiential world of this Ibiza artist.

A painter who opens a window to her being. Elisabeth, a nomad, educated and trained in millennial cultures, who has been confronted and sculpting herself with true experiences of contemporary society. The musts, the wants and the reality which, added up and mixed together, give the result of her universe.

A space which the artist narrated with a black stroke on nomad paper from other continents, upon which color begins to emerge with strength, occupying spaces which were previously naked, blank, and which arise to strengthen each art piece’s message. Chromatisms appear in drawings of people and are given more importance in her landscapes. Elisabeth Louy’s work is evolving with color, a new artistic path to live and breathe.

In this current exhibit, an introduction of new works will be accompanied by significant paintings from prior stages that will help us grasp Elisabeth Louy”s creative universe and her nomad spirit.
